The Hero of the Village – Sikandar part 2
In a quiet village surrounded by green fields and tall trees, there lived a young man named Sikandar.
Sikandar was not rich.
He did not own big houses or expensive cars.
But there was something special about him.
Everyone in the village loved him.
Children admired him.
Old people respected him.
And the villagers trusted him more than anyone else.
Sikandar was known for three things:
His honesty,
His bravery,
And his kind heart.
Whenever someone had a problem, Sikandar was the first person they called.
If someone’s roof broke in the rain, Sikandar helped fix it.
If a farmer became sick, Sikandar harvested the crops for him.
If two people argued, Sikandar solved their problem peacefully.
That is why people often said:
“Sikandar is the heart of our village.”
The Arrival of TK
One hot afternoon, something unusual happened.
A man from the city arrived in the village.
His name was TK.
TK looked very different from the villagers.
He wore expensive clothes, shiny shoes, and dark glasses.
He carried a briefcase full of documents.
At first, people were impressed.
After all, city people rarely visited their small village.
But TK was not a good man.
Behind his polite smile, he was a clever and greedy businessman.
He had one special talent:
Cheating simple people.
In many villages before, he had tricked poor farmers.
He would offer them money and make them sign papers.
Later, those papers would secretly transfer the farmers’ land to him.
And by the time they realized the truth, it was already too late.
TK’s Plan
When TK arrived in Sikandar’s village, the first thing he did was research.
He soon discovered something important.
The villagers were simple and uneducated.
Most of them could not read or write.
And the land they owned was their only source of income.
They would never sell their land willingly.
So TK created a clever plan.
He gathered the villagers in the center of the village and made an offer.
He said:
“Dear villagers, I want to help you.”
Everyone listened carefully.
TK continued:
“I want to grow crops on half of your land using my workers and machines.”
The villagers looked confused.
But TK quickly added something tempting.
“I will pay you money equal to the value of your entire land.”
The villagers were shocked.
They whispered among themselves.
“Half land… but full money?”
It sounded like a miracle.
But Sikandar stood quietly at the back of the crowd.
Something didn’t feel right.
The Dangerous Papers
The next day, TK brought some papers.
He said:
“These papers are just proof that you agree to give me half your land for one year.”
Since most villagers could not sign their names, TK told them:
“Just put your thumbprint here.”
The villagers trusted him.
One by one, they pressed their thumbprints on the paper.
But Sikandar did not.
He stepped forward and asked:
“Why is the paper so long if it is only about one year?”
TK smiled nervously.
“It’s just legal language. Nothing important.”
But Sikandar refused.
“I will not sign anything without understanding it.”
The villagers laughed.
They thought Sikandar was worrying too much.
Finally, everyone signed.
Everyone except Sikandar.
The Truth Revealed
Two days later, TK returned with police officers.
The villagers were confused.
Then TK announced something shocking.
“According to the documents you signed, all your land now belongs to me.”
The villagers froze.
“What?!”
“Yes,” TK said coldly.
“I am going to build a factory here.”
“You must leave this land within two days.”
The villagers were devastated.
Some began crying.
Some begged TK.
But he did not care.
That’s when Sikandar stepped forward.
He said calmly:
“You cheated them.”
TK laughed.
“They signed the papers. It’s legal.”
Sikandar’s Sacrifice
The villagers now had nowhere to go.
Except Sikandar’s land.
Because Sikandar never signed the paper.
His land was still his.
Without hesitation, Sikandar said:
“Everyone can stay on my land until we solve this problem.”
The villagers were shocked.
Sikandar’s land was not very big.
But he shared everything he had.
People built small huts there.
They cooked together.
They survived together.
But Sikandar had not given up.
He was planning something.
The Investigation
Sikandar traveled to the nearby city.
He met a lawyer.
At first, the lawyer said:
“Legally, the villagers signed the documents. It will be very difficult.”
But Sikandar insisted.
“Please check the documents carefully.”
The lawyer studied the papers.
After several hours, he discovered something.
TK had made a small but illegal mistake.
The document claimed the villagers sold their land.
But the payment section was empty.
No proof of money transfer existed.
Which meant the contract could be declared fraudulent.
The Court Battle
The case went to court.
TK was confident.
He believed poor villagers could never defeat him.
But Sikandar stood in court with courage.
The lawyer explained the fraud.
The judge carefully examined the documents.
Finally, the judge spoke.
“This contract is illegal.”
“The land belongs to the villagers.”
“TK is guilty of fraud.”
The courtroom exploded with excitement.
The villagers had won.
TK’s face turned pale.
He was arrested for cheating many villages.
The Hero
When Sikandar returned to the village, people welcomed him like a hero.
Children ran toward him.
Old men hugged him.
Women prayed for him.
One elder said:
“If Sikandar had signed that paper, we would have lost everything.”
Another villager said:
“Sikandar saved our homes.”
From that day forward, everyone called him:
The Hero of the Village.
But Sikandar simply smiled and said:
“I only did what was right.”
Moral of the Story
Education and awareness protect people from deception.
And sometimes one brave person can save an entire community.
